Indian Macroeconomy and Financial Markets (ECO-3514(1) and Eco-3512(2)

Course overview-

India has made huge strides and has grown in leaps and bounds over the last five decades. Average annual growth increased from 3% in 1970s to more than 7% in recent years. This has been concomitant with a sharp reduction in poverty, and vast improvements in infrastructure. At the same time, India has become vastly more integrated in the global economy and financial markets.

Against this background, this is an applied macroeconomics and finance course tailored to the Indian context. The course covers key topics and current issues on the Indian macroeconomy and financial markets, spanning macroeconomic and financial outcomes and policies.
